Wading Pools
This is about the wading pools around my area and around the city. These pools do not stay open long enough during the summer months. Back in the day I would not have cared as much, but now I have a kid and it gets hotter every year. I don’t think it’s going to get any better. City of Winnipeg administrators, would you think about keeping wading pools open a little longer during the time when the weather is hot? I think that a lot of people would appreciate it. Wading pools should be kept open to the end of the summer, also they should revisit the hours wading pools are open. Some cities open their pools from 6PM – 7PM so that working parents can go to the park with their children. I think these are a couple of ideas the city should consider.

Wading pool should be open from 12:00 PM to 5PM and 6PM to8PM like other cities. Some children are not fortunate enough to go to the lake every weekend. Also, I agree that if pools were open in the evening, I believe parents would be able to accompany their children to the park, hence more use of the parks. I have heard comments that the pools are not being used as much anymore. Well perhaps wading pool schedules need to be revisited.
Also, all wading pools should be kept open until labour day weekend. Summer just doesn’t end on August 12th!
