Clean Streets

Why doesn’t the City of Winnipeg hire some more people to help clean up Winnipeg’s streets? If you walk down any street, you can see a lot of paper and garbage everywhere.  There are a lot of people that could really use the money and the work, This would get a lot of people away from EI. It really would be nice to see a cleaner Winnipeg, and a healthy workplace.

    Hi Paul,

I agree, but what about people who just toss their garbage and cigarette stubs around?

I Agree, but maybe instead of hiring people who can afford to throw the garbage anywhere, the city should hire the less fortunate for a small amount of change per garbage bag. Don’t you think?

I think we should all clean up after ourselves, then we wouldn’t have this discussion.

What you say is very true indeed. However us Winnipegers need to be playing our part in this as well. I see people littering everyday. The garbage obviously has to come from somewhere. IT is coming from us. We need to work with the city to help clean up our city.

    Cell Phones
I think cell phones are great, but we do not need them in class. Every day while we are being taught, there are people being called or being text messaged. To myself this is annoying and bothers me, to the point that I want to get up and walk out of class before I myself get to the point , that I will say some think that will get me kicked out of class, and most likely school. While we were in the library there were people on there cells instead of doing there work. So I myself think that these cell phones should be banned from being used in school.
