Butt Out
As a non-smoker and a parent I think the students of W A E C that smoke in front of the school alongside the Y M C A daycare playground should stop smoking in this area. It’s a proven fact that second hand smoke causes more harm than the smoke itself to the smoker. I know it’s outdoors and off the school property, but if we have twenty to twenty-five people out there smoking three to four times a day it all adds up. So, as adults with young children in our families, everyone should stop smoking in this area. So maybe instead of smoking on that side of the building everyone could walk ten seconds in another direction.

Hi Clint,
I wonder how many other people share this opinion. I know I do! Also, I’d like to hear why this particular corner holds so much appeal. Why has it become a gathering spot for smokers?

Yes I Agree, especially since there is a child’s playground on the smoking area. Maybe people should go smoke along the street on Webb or on Balmoral away from the playground where it is more closer to the children seen walking by or playing outside.
