This weekend the students are bringing home a reflection for the first chapter of our novel Silverwing.  I have already sent all families an email describing this assignment and the students and I have discussed it in class.  Please let me know if you didn’t get the email or if you need further clarification.  Thanks

Rather than a reflection or math problem this weekend, I would like everyone to spend a few minutes exploring the blog.  Students, please reply to this post to show me you have visited the site and leave a message explaining how you like it so far and if you think you will like using it as a part of the class.

You may need to include your email address (it won’t be posted and you can always make something up) and please remember to use the name I gave to you rather than your real name. 

Each week there will be two math problems posted. These are word problems that meet various areas of the curriculum. Each students will be required to do the first question while the second will be for students wanting an extra challenge. Have fun and give them a try! The first will be posted this coming weekend and will be due anytime before Friday, September 12.
