As you know, yesterday was our 100th anniversary celebration. There were many activities and you were involved in most of them. Your inquiry projects all turned out great and it was neat to see them set up in the hall with all the other classes. The Fast Facts kept people guessing and hoping they knew the answers. I would like you to write a paragraph or two about how you feel about everything that went on, now that it is over. Talk about your inquiry project and what it was like to participate in such a large event that only happens every hundred years.

I really liked being a part of the inquiry groups. One thing I didn’t like was that one person in my group was a bit bossy. Our project turned out really good. I think our project was really fun to do. I’m really glad that I got to perform at the tea with the choir and with the class , it was really fun. I’m really glad that I got to do it because I no I won’t be able to do it again!!!!

I thaut that the inquary project was realy fun. It was hard because you wad to bring in alot into school. One thing I did not like was that most of my group was not staying on TASK. I liked was when Vincent and I got a lot of pictrers. I liked that my group chose to do WW2.

Participating in the 100th anniversary was very fun. I really liked doing our projects too. I think the most interesting part was seeing how the the school has changed in the past 100 years. I`m glad to take a part in such a big celebration. I liked doing my inquiry project on the Park Theatre because I live right near by it so it was easier to gather information. Making the scrapbook for the project was kind of easy but it was thinking of topics and getting all the information was harder. The most fun part for me is performing in the Song Revue choir because we practiced alot and it really showed so i`m proud of that.
All in all the whole celebration was really fun!

It is such a good feeling to be a part of something that happens very hundred years.
The effort that me and my group put into the project was not easy. We tried hard to do all the things that we did. The inquiry was very fun, and exciting. I think that the people that saw our project liked it such as me and my group members. The inquiry that me and my group did was very colourful and nice.It is truly a good feeling to be in a project that happens every one hundred years.

It was pretty cool that I got to be a part of the 100th anniversary! I loved doing our inquiry project with different classrooms. Did the grades 1 and 2 do something for the anniversary? The performances were fun yesterday. The 100th anniversary was really well organized. I think the people who saw ours enjoyed lifting up the roof and looking inside the house.

I liked doing the inquiry project! I was always lookiing forewared to 11:15. I wish we could do another one. I liked how it turned out! I loved working with the people in my group they were all very funny!

I think that the 100th anniversary was a fun thing to participate in. What was hard was that the amount of research was needed. Fast facts I found easy to find a question and answer to. Doing a diorama of the floodway was really fun for my group, every time I herd we had Inquiry project I could not wait at all for it. Every time we went to the computer lab we looked for pictures, it was boring. An other hard part is keeping the group on TASK, that was really hard to do with my group. I though that the 100th anniversary was one of the best activates of the year 2008 to 2009. Being in the 100th anniversary is a amazing thing to be in, because that your in a anniversary of 100 years! It’s the best thing ever!RV013

I really liked doing my Inquiry project. I liked doing the “locomotion”. It was fun to see everybody’s
Inquiry projects as well as their dances. I also liked singing in the song review choir for
All the people who used to go to Riverview when we didn’t even start school yet. My Inquiry project was on hair, the four people in my inquiry group did a model of some popular hairstyles that women wore in the 1950’s. I did the ponytail, another girl did the domestic goddess, the beehive & the poodle cut.

I thought that the inquiry project was very fun and interesting and that it’s cool to be in a school that’s 100 years old! But I thought that the inquiry project was a little hard because of the big model of pele my group made. It also took time to do a big model. I think that the dance we did is cool the locomotion! I thought it was crazy that this school is 100 years old. I was a little nervous going up on stage. It was a lot of practice to do a really long song but it was very very very very very very very FUN! It was crazy because we hade to do the locomotion 4 TIMES! After when I get home I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired. So that’s my inquiry reflection.

I liked doing the inquiry project. I didn’t really like the dance. I cant believe that the school has been up for one hundred years. It felt weird staying at school till 7:00. there were a lot of people there. It felt weird dancing in front of so much people

  11. Rv002 on May 22nd, 2009 9:40 am

I thought the 100th anniversary was really awsome because of all of our projects we did and all the people who came to riverview many years ago.And I really liked our dance we did in front of all of the people who came.I was kind of nervous when I was on stage and all of these people were watching me .But I had an awsome time at the 100th anniversary.
I really thought that my dad was going to be in the back some wear but as soon as I walked in he was right there and he said hi to me then I said hi back to him.Me and,my dad and, my sister had a couple pieces of food downstairs in the multi purpus room.I loved my project I did with my group it was a shoe store and I reallly liked it and I liked other peoples projects too.

I liked doing the inquiry project. I liked working on the Hillman minx. I found doing the Hillman minx model the most fun. I think that to me that looking for facts about the Hillman minx was ok. But I found the model the best. I feel that I was a big part of the 100 anniversary. I liked doing the our dances with 208.

  13. RV004 on May 22nd, 2009 9:41 am

I thought that being a part of something so big was really cool! I did an inquiry project on abstract art. It was kind of hard but it was fun! In my project we did a scrapbook, scrapbooks are really fun to make. I think that a lot of people enjoyed all of the projects! I really liked doing our inquiry projects, because it was really we had to try our best and be quick because we only had a certain amount of time to do it. But when we finished the project it came out really good. I think that it was really fun to be doing all the stuff for the anniversary and it was fun learning a dance to the locomotion!!!!

  14. rv021 on May 22nd, 2009 9:41 am

It was very fun making the inquiry projects. Doing the dance was fun to, and a little scary to. I just pretended the audience was in there underwear so I wouldn’t get scared.
The whole 100’th anniversary party was fun to. I really liked guarding the doors and taking tickets, that was my job, it was fun and boring at the same time.
For the inquiry project my group did a news paper. My group was me, taj, Derek and Braden. The dance was super fun. My class did the locomotion with class # 208

  15. RV019 on May 22nd, 2009 9:41 am

I felt that doing our inquiry project was a bit difficult. This is because we had to find all sorts of information and pictures. It was also fun in a way because we got to decorate and glue all this information in our scrapbook. If I didn’t go to this school none of this would have happened. I really loved the dance and how the gym looked. The school looked so decorative. I can’t believe I was in all this! It only happens every hundred years and I’m in it!

  16. RV008 on May 22nd, 2009 9:42 am

I liked how we got to learn about what has changed from 1940 to 1970. My group was doing food. For our model we made a mcdonalds out of a shoe box. My favourite part is when we got to build our models. I also liked how our group got to laern about who and when made restaurants. I think our group had allot of fun making and writing for our 100th Annaversary. I feel great about our project.I liked doing the dances with 208.

  17. RV009 on May 22nd, 2009 9:42 am

I really like the way my groups inquiry project turned out and I saw a lot of other great projects in the hallway. I saw some really amazing things in the multipurpose room too. One of my favourite parts was the dancing with the decades because it was really fun. One part that I didn’t like was having to wait outside to get ready to get ready to go on stage. It felt good to be apart of the 100 anniversary.

  18. RV007 on May 22nd, 2009 9:45 am

I thinked dancing was fun. The thing I liked was that I got to go in the front. The funest thing was that I got evry thing rite. I like it when I got to go out side at the start. Dancig was the funest.

  19. RV016 on May 22nd, 2009 9:46 am

We made a diorama and little people to go in it. And some people got to make a model or a scapbook. But we chose to make a diorama. It took us a long time to make the diorama! We put clay in our diorama. I was thinking of putting a stage in but when I noticed it was so small I couldn’t do it. I liked the people in my group. I had a lot of fun! My class and a few more classes danced to the Locomtian. And Song Revue Choir sang and danced yesterday! We started with If I Were A Rich Man and ended with Make Them Hear You. It was relly fun! Grandma, Mommy and Popa were watching me! And all that in and out was really tireing! And before we perfomed we ate a lot of food. I hade 14 pieces of food! It was really good!

  20. RV006 on May 22nd, 2009 9:47 am

Wow, there was a lot that went on. I really enjoyed everything , but my favourite was dancing and singing. To be a part of two different things for this specially event was really something. I really liked dancing I liked the ending because our ending was the only that had all of together . We were also the only dance that moved in to different places. A though I liked our dances my were up town girl and ours. I liked up town because of the moves, the song the song was ok to but the dances moves really got me! I also liked all the different things that were going on. Like all that pictures that were all around the school. Did you see the big board that had a picture of a girl and a boy and a girl’s and the head was cut out. In the back round was the school in the old and days. That was cool! Doing the inquiry project was really fun! I really liked doing a scrap book and how everyone got to do there own page! I also enjoyed meeting with our groups because my group was the best! Well that’s all for now! By : RV005
