I found out that if you are adopting tadpoles you need to make sure that they have fresh clean water. They depend on fresh water to survive. I also found out that you need to make sure that they have lots of shade. If they don’t then they will get to hot. If they get to hot then they can die!!

I found out that frogs have teeth and they are called Maxillary teeth. But they are hard to see. And I think that is awesome think their teeth area quarter of a inch long. It must be hard to eat with such small teeth.

Did you know that by feeding your tadpoles lettuce they will be healthier and even turn into frogs faster! Im not sure what species our tadpoles are but once they actually turn into frogs we should be able to tell. My favourite species is the tree frog. Frogs have big tongues because it helps them catch there food . Frogs have tongues at the front of there mouth . That’s why there tongues are longer. Frogs fling there tongues out at there prey and then snap there tongues back which throws it down there throat .

Some people say that you can get warts from a toad or a frog, but that’s not true. Frogs can measure 1 inch to 1 foot it depends on their species. When tadpoles hatch they have a mouth, a tail and they develop gills so they can swim. Frogs have very sensitive skin especially when they are tadpoles, but it’s still ok to touch them sometimes. After 7 to 10 days of being hatched the tadpole can swim around. After 12 weeks the tadpole has almost become a frog, and it still has about have of it’s tail left. It could be called a froglet or a young frog. After about 6 to 9 weeks that’s when the legs start to come in and if you look closely you could be able to see them.

This is how you tell if a tadpole is going to de a toad or a frog, usually toads as tadpoles are small and black. Toads are mostly frogs its just that toads are more warty and frogs are smoother. Toads and frogs are from the same family. Tadpoles usually turn into frogs around eight to nine weeks. I’m not to sure if our tadpoles are going to be frogs or not.

If you don’thave to much time you can get from a local store fish de-chlorineting drops. There is much more how to rise a tadpole and see there lifes but if you want to. A tadpole’s egg takes 6 to 21 days to hatch. When a tadpole is born, it is very fragile. When a tadpole is almost a frog, it looks like a small frog with a big tail. When a tadpole is a frog, it lays eggs and then starts the whole life cycle again. A frog likes to lay their eggs in wet spots. I think it will be cool when our tadpoles turn into frogs!
