Mr. Strachan spent some time looking at our Tree Haven chapter poster. He has found a few things about Silverwing as well. Here is what he wrote, what do you think?

It shows cover pictures of Silverwing published in other countries. When I saw this page I immediately began wondering why the pictures were all different? I thought, how do the pictures differ or how are the same? I wonder why they are all drawn in different ways in different countries. That’s a real puzzler!

I like the website of silverwing.I think the website is cool becuase all the covers of each country is different.I think they are all different because in different country’s the languages are also different.
Well maybe they the countries like different covers for there books.
I like Chinas the most out of all of the covers.
My second favourite is USAS.
Different countries think of bats different.
Or mabey they don’t whant the same cover of book.
The backgrounds are different and the titles because that’s the different silverwing
in other countries. The backround is different because I think that it relates
to the countrie that the book is from. My favouite one is silverwing that’s from
Canada. My favourite one that is here is the France one because it’s cool. It
also has a background and the background is in the city of France. Some of the spelling
is in English and some is what they speak in that countrie. The USA one is in English
because that’s what they speak. Some of them don’t really make any sences like
the Japan one it has bats flying around at day time and bat’s are sleeping in the morning and awake at night.
I think that they are different because in different contries they think that different parts of the book are more important. I think that the covers are neat because different contries think about different things. My favourites are the one from Iceland and the one from U.S.A paperback. I think that maybe there are so many covers because lots of contries wanted to publish the book but they didn’t like the first cover.
I think that there are so many covers because they come from all around the world and they might take place in different places. I was thinking about the spelling too. Some of the spelling was English, some was French and some was Italian. Some of the covers, such as the Japanese one, don’t show Shade at all. I think that the story in different countries might be different too.
I think that Great Britain looks like it is the best cover. I also think that it is really cool because the backround. The canadan cover is really cool but not as cool as the Great britain cover. The backround is beter than the canadan backround because it has beter illustration. The one from spain is different because there is a owl in the backround and the owl has scraey orenge eyes. The german one is the exate ley like spains cover but title is in different places on the cover.
I like the Great Britain the best two me. I like the Gemany one two. I think the Great Britain is fun but not as fun as the Gemany. I think the Great Brintain one is more cool then the Gemany. I think the covers are different becouse of the countries.
I think some of these covers are cool. There are 4 covers that are just about the same. Germaney and spain are almost the same. denmark and holland are aimost the same. My favorat cover is great britan.
I think that it’s just different countries’ versions.
It’s probably just because Kenneth Opple didn’t
want to draw the same photo for every book.
Too bad the cover on our book is in English!

I think the Great Britain Backround looks the best. I also think it is cool because it is in the night time. I think the Great Britain cover looks the best too. I also think that the person who made it worked very hard on it. I think the China cover is funny because the bat looks weird. I think the Germany one looks very good because there is a owl in the backround. The cover by Spain is strange because it is almost the same as Germany. I also think that iceland looks amazing because the bat is hiding. I saw that Holland and Denmark look the same like just like Germany and Spain. I think USA paperback looks very very very cool because there are two bats flying very very high in the sky.
The cover of the book is the same of Silverwing. I think the book of Sovvinge is the same of Silverwing.
There was one that really caught my eye was the Spain one I saw that there was a bat with a owl chasing him . I think that it is from chapter 2 when shade was getting chased by the owl. What I also so was that Spain and Germany have the same. I think that they are all different because they all have live in a different place. Or maybe they wanted them all to be different so it can show there counters. But then I saw the the same picture for differ places so now I am a little confused I also saw for the USA had different ones for the hard cover and paper cover.
