Exploring Africa in December

This month we’ve started learning all about Africa. The students had the opportunity to use their imaginations and we took a pretend flight to Africa. The students learned the sequence of taking an airplane: showing your ticket, finding your seat, putting on your seatbelt. take off, snack, landing, and getting off the plane. This past week we’ve been looking at animals in Africa and exploring the idea of going on a Safari adventure. The students have had fun reading books about Safari’s and making masks of animals they might see on a safari adventure. In the next few weeks we will be looking at African art and music as well as practicing our song for the winter concert!
