100th Anniversary Request/Suggestion

Greetings…!! 

I’m hoping to find a few “street corner” singers who might like to get together and remember, in song,those great tunes of the 50’s that were so popular at the dances that took place at Crescentwood over a half century ago!!! Especially the “Last Dance”/ slow dance numbers that we all “hung on” to then! Many of the tunes were also a big hit on “Finkleman’s 45’s”/CBC radio show a couple of years ago as well…. I saw those of us,still standing in 2012 (!)..singing those R&B songs, acappella in our own little corner of a “Memories of 1956-58″ room(s) during the days of celebration… Rehearsals alone, could be a lot of fun!!! 

It may be all”Just a Dream”,”In The Still Of The Night”…. but if anyone’s keen, I’m:

    We would like to start an Athletic Wall of Fame. So if you are a Kelvin grad who went on to compete at University, Junior “A”, Pro, etc., please send us an 8×10 photo – preferably in uniform. If you do not have an 8×10, send us any photo and we will enlarge it.

Include:

  • Your name
  • Year of graduation
  • What team/university you played for
  • The sport

New Bleachers
    New bleachers have been installed in the gymnasium.  The Athletic Department is trying to bolster their budget by selling seats in the new bleachers.
    For $20, your name will be placed on a plaque, measuring 21/4 by 11/4 inches, which will be permanently installed on the seat that you choose, acknowledging your donation.  If you are interested please contact Mr. Shynkaruk @ the school, 474-1492.
