This file could be used during calendar and for number of the day. The children begin by skip counting on the number line to get to the number of the day. I will challenge students by telling them to vary the way they get to the number (5’s, 10’s, 20’s).

Children play in pairs. In turn, they roll 3 dice and add them together to find the total. The child covers that number on the game board. The child writes the three numbers on the line beside the total.  If the number is already covered, the child misses a turn. Keep playing until each player has had 10 turns. The player with the most covered numbers wins.

- Children play in pairs. The 4-9 spinner is the first spinner.
- Player/team A spins the first spinner and puts this amount of insects in the cup.
They then spin the second spinner and add that number of insects or counters into the cup.
- They work out how many are in the cup in total.

- Call out a random number between 11-15 or 1-20.
- Children show the number by placing the counters on the ten frame.
- Ovserve if the children wipe off the entire board to make a new number or do they add or take away counters to adjust to the number.
