This year students in all the primary grades will be participating in Targeted Math Groups four periods per cycle for numeracy instruction and practice. Students will be placed into groups based upon their numerical understanding to allow for direct instruction. Students will be continually assessed, and assess themselves through the use of the Winnipeg School Division Numeracy Continuum. Concepts being addressed will be based upon the instructional needs of the group. Students will also be receiving instruction in numeracy and other mathematical strands as well within their classrooms.
