Master List-is saved as a source.xml file on the computer but it can be renamed, copied to a network drive or USB  stick and moved from computer to computer
Current List-is saved with the Word file

To change the date format  use the Developer tab on the ribbon.  It can be enabled through Word Options in the Office Button.  In the Developer tab-Controls, click on Properties to change the date format.
