Below are two documents that summarize the great achievements of Elmwood High School over the 2008-2009 School year. It is very difficult to look at the accomplishments, and what we offer and not be impressed. Kudos to all the people involved that make this school such an AWESOME place!

Many thanks go out to the Graduating class of 1989 who raised $1000.00 that enabled us to present two students with a one time Graduation Award. The students and the school appreciate the contribution. This demonstrates how important and strong the link between school and community is at Elmwood.

Dear Parents/Guardians:
Recently there have been reports of a number of cases of H1N1 in the province and as you likely know the World Health Organization has now declared the H1N1 outbreak a pandemic.
I am writing to ask your assistance in helping to keep your child/children and the rest our school community well.
Here are some ways you can do that:
Wash hands: Teach your child to wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Be sure to set a good example by doing this yourself.
Elbows: Teach your child to cough or sneeze into the inside of the elbow. Be sure to set a good example by doing this yourself.
Eyes, nose, mouth: Teach your child to avoid touching his/her eyes, nose or mouth as germs or viruses can transfer from the hands into the body in this way.
Safety zone: Teach your child to stay at least three feet away from anyone who is sick.
Please keep children who are sick at home. Do not send them to school. They should not be around other people until they are better.
If you have questions, please contact your healthcare provider. For more information, contact Health Links 788-8200 or visit the Manitoba Health website: www.gov.mb.ca/health
Sincerely,
Mike Babb
Principal
