A Walk to Remember

Peer pressure can make people do crazy stuff like in the movie,  that guy jumped into shallow water just to fit in with the “cool kids”.  Also,  when the “cool kids” made fun of Jamie and made a mean flyer of her.  Then the other kids laughed at Jamie too because they were peer pressured into it.  Finally,  Landen stood up for Jamie which stopped the peer pressure which worked for him because he was respected and a “cool kid”.  I think we shouldn’t peer pressure anyone because they can get really hurt.

Key Idea: Consequences           Throughout life, one must and will experience consequences. Once you make a decision their will be things that follow. Be it good or bad. Such as if, you make the decision to eat sugar with every meal for the rest of your life, you will most likely develop diabetes, Or some other illness that will affect your life and well being. Or more simply you can decide to buy a lottery ticket and theny you win. Then what? You’re a millionaire what do you do? Save your money? Sure, but theres no fun in that, so you decide to spend half of you newly earned fortune on a house and plenty of cars. Then unexpectedly you lose halof of your forutune on depts you forgot you had and the mortgage and the payment for your very expensive car. Now your bankrupt and have nowhere to live. You have 3 Choices, You blame yourself, you blame someone else, or you just don’t care. In the case of the movie, “A Walk to Remember”, they decided to pressure the boy into jumping from the tall sstructure into the water below. He couldve died but he didn’t, he ended up in a hospital. As well the police who arrive and arrest those involved. Of course though, wonderously as all movide do, his mistakes and punishements lead him to new found love. But then, who knew? She had leukemia. After he finds out they try their best to be happy. Hence she died a perfect ending to a trun of events that made a wild boy into a succesful man in medical school. I think I have experienced many horrible but also excellent consequences. Rewarded with either dissapointement or sustained hapiness. Although the good or bad happen, the lesson shines through. I learn, I feel and adapt new ways to do things and my overall character is improved with earch good or bad decision and consequene in turn.                                                       Written by:~~~Nori-Kun

A Walk to Remember

 Love :
I picked love because Landon and Jamie fell in love even tough she was sick he stayed with her till the end. Even if she left he can still feel the love in the wind.

LOVE is an emotion everyone has, you can’t control it compared to other emotions

I think even if Jamie wasn’t sick he wouldn’t of left her. For Landon he used to give her his cold side when he was with his friends.

There was love throughout the movie with Jamie and Landon cause they fell in love. And even if Jamie has passed away Landon still feels there is still love in him for Jamie.

In my opinion it was cause peer pressure at the fact he is popular or Jamie got made fun of his friends. I don’t think you need to act in front of your friends because of a person you have feelings for. Also he changed because of her. He cares for her when Jamie didn’t want to fall in loved because of her sickness. If  I had a sickness I would be afraid to fall in love and hurt someone’s feelings.

I think that this movie was really good.  It was good because it was a funny love story about finding out who your real, true friends are.

Landon is a popular kid with some bad friends.  When he met Jamie, she was an outsider who didn’t have as nice of clothes as the people Landon hangs out with.  Then he realizes that they’re not really his friends and that Jamie is.  Then he falls in love with her under the approval of her father.  His old friends realize this and become better friends, because they find out how much he really cares about her.  The father approves because he finds out how much Landon cares about her and would do anything for her even if she did have leukemia.

It’s hard to find who your true friends are.  It’s hard because everyone seems like a good friend but not all of them are.  Even if they act like your friends at normal times, you don’t know how they would act in serious situations.  I heard of a story about a dad who tells his son that his friends aren’t really his friends and that he had a way to find out, so they put a bunch of red pillows in a sack and went to all his “friends” houses and told them he killed somebody and asked them for help and they all said they didn’t know him.  Then they went to the house of a person he didn’t even hang out with and the person said that he would help him.

That story shows that even if your mean to someone they might still be your friends, and that some people only hang out with you because your popular.

A Walk to Remember

I think that the movie is really sad…… I think that it shows you to think of others before because in James case she was dying and well everyone else was being selfish and rude towards her even when she was being curtius and nice to everyone around her.

It shows how foolish some people can be, it’s so easy to be mean to people, judge them right away without even knowing them. Someone can be minding their own bossiness and someone will go out of their way to do or say something that will hurt them(like in the movie when they photo shop her face onto the wowing body)

I think that Jamie’s character shows how to be the bigger person, she did not do anything to those girls that phtoshoped her picture, which brings out another reason, jealousy, an emotion that later you look back and ask yourself why you did what you did. Because Jamie kissed by London in the play they did what they did..

For me the movie showed me not to judge people right away, actually not to judge them at all, it’s not fair to judge someone not knowing their condition, situation and mainly themselves.
