Rules about Blogging

Rules of Blogging No Comments »

Well we have got the Dufferin Blog Site up and running. Teacher and students have begun to post their work and are replying to each other. This blog site is an excellent forum for the sharing of ideas with each other.

Just a few reminders about the rules of blogging:

1) Never use your real name. Always use a user name – like the name of an animal or a flower. Do not give any details about yourself like where you live, your email or phone number. Remember the rules of internet safety.

2) Use proper language and punctuation when writing a post. Please remember to capitalize sentences and use punctuation. Whatever you write should be clear and easy to understand. If it is not, you may be asked to edit your comment.

3) Make sure that your comment uses appropriate language. Whatever you write should be appropriate to publish in a newspaper. Make sure that you would be comfortable with your teacher or the principal reading it.

4) All comments and posts are approved by a moderator. The moderater will not post comments that use inappropriate language.

5) Your comments should stay on topic.  Make sure that what you say in your comment relates to the post.  Comments that are off topic or have extra unnecessary details are called fluff. No fluff please!

Enjoy blogging!
