Dear Parents,
As you may have noticed, I’ve been assigning a lot of homework in both grades of math this month. These early units on fractions are very, very important as they serve as the foundation for all work with rational numbers going forward in school. I have spoken to several students and made appointments to see me at lunch to get them caught up. I will keep you posted if students do not make appointments.
Some students have also missed class due to illness. If they are missing school during this very important time, they must be responsible for coming to me or their classmates to acquire work and notes that they missed.
Please email me if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Dave

Hey Guys!
Do you love playing out in the snow?
Does snowshoeing for 2 hours sound like fun?
Are you a caregiving type who would like to sit in the lodge and care for frozen children?
Would you love to spend three quality days and sleepless nights with your child and 120 of their friends?
If you answered YES to the questions above, then Winter Camp is for you!!!
We are in need of approximately 5 volunteers for camp. If you are interested in joining us, let me know a.s.a.p.
This will be offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Take care, and talk to you soon,
Tanis

Hey there,
I have the pleasure of teaching Health to the grade 7 flex kids. We are just about to dive into Family life, including topics such as dating, relationships, puberty, sexuality, etc…
As a class, we have come up with a list of questions that the students are coming home to ask you tonight on the topic of dating. These questions serve as a springboard for our discussion tomorrow. I am really looking forward to this!
Questions that have been created range from, “What do you think is a good age to start dating? Why?”, to , “How many people did you date before you met Mom/Dad?”.
I am sending this e-mail as both a “heads-up”, and due to a request from the students to do so…
Thanks…here’s to a great week!
