Storytelling Festival

Hey all,

As you know, we are heading out to the Storytelling Festival on Friday. In the morning we will be listening to Bonface Beti from Kenya and human rights activist Muuxi Adam. In the afternoon we will be participating in a unique art piece with students from Elmwood and Gordon Bell. This is going to be really cool…

As per the usual, we are in need of parent drivers. We are required to be at the University from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. In order to get great seats we would need to leave as close to 9:00 as possible.

If you can help us out either way, can you please let me know a.s.a.p.?

Parents are welcome to join us for the day.

With thanks,

Tanis 474-1301

Flex Spring Camp

Hey there,

As some of you may know, every year the grade 8s head out into the wilderness to spend a few days together camping and sharing a bit of a farewell after two fantastic years together.

This year is no exception!

After a bit of soul searching and guidance from a few people, I have decided that we will keep it simple again this year. Here’s what I’ve pulled together so far:

June 20, 21, 22
Betula Lake, Whiteshell (I know – not the prettiest of most wild, but we will have a blast regardless)
Captain Grant Badger is on board with 8 – 10 canoes and a fellow lifeguard.
We will hike, look at petroforms, canoe, swim, have fires, and have fun.
Cost will be around $60.00/child plus food that they will bring themselves.

I will be looking for potential drivers/volunteers. As there are only about 18 of us going, we shouldn’t need too many volunteers for this one.

If you think your child will attend, let me know a.s.a.p. so that I can get things moving along.

With thanks and my apologies for the previous grumpy e-mail,

Tanis
