Just a reminder that there’s a Grade 8 Math quiz on exponents, square roots, and squares Wednesday. Also, there will be a Math quiz Thursday for Grade 7. This quiz will have squares and square roots and place value.

There is also Social Studies homework: All students must be finished their Latitude and Longitude booklets up to page 38 for this Thursday.

Hello all new and returning parents of Flex students!

If you already received this message as an email then your child has successfully returned his/her permission form for today’s field trip to the Forks with your email address on the bottom. From time to time, Tanis and I will send mass emails to you that include important information regarding upcoming events, homework, etc. We are slowly transitioning our main means of communication from email to our website but we will still use email for updates that we deem especially relevant. Our website will include any information that we send via emai plus daily postings from students regarding homework assignments and upcoming tests. We hope to see you all at Meet the Teacher night tomorrow! This night is primarily for students new to the school, but we’d love to get reacquainted with everyone else if you can make it. The evening starts at 6:00pm. Following presentations from Mr. Chartrand, Mme. Audino, and Joyce Wong, Tanis and I will provide a brief presentation on the Flexible Learning Program and allow time for some informal chit-chat. At this time we can also get your email address if we haven’t gotten it from you yet. See you then!

Hello! We meant to post earlier, but we were experiencing more technical difficulties over the last week. Our planned outing has been moved to Tuesday, September 22nd. Rather than spend the whole day at the Forks, we will now be arriving back at the school before last period. Permission forms will be sent home today. Hello and welcome to another school year in the land of Flex! I meant to post earlier but the website was experiencing technical difficulties. We have had a fantastic first two days! We spent most of Wednesday organizing ourselves, getting our lockers sorted out, and going over an enormous amount of information. Students were given forms to take home on H1N1 policies and student insurance. Today (Thursday) was the first day of regular classes.

Please keep checking this website over the next week for more information. Tanis and I are planning an outing to the Forks next week so look for permission forms to be going home either Friday or Monday.
